Leadership Coffee

Douglas and Coffee County have always enjoyed a highly respected reputation for progressive leadership and quality of life. One of the reasons for our success in these areas is our commitment to leadership development. The New Century Leaders program was established in 1990 for that purpose. The Chamber Board of Directors later proposed a name change for the program: Leadership Coffee.

Participants in the leadership program commit to an seven-month project that allows them to take a close look at government, education, economic development, and all issues dealing with quality of life on a local and state level. The program is designed to help participants develop leadership skills for the workplace and the community.
